GILES CLARKE: HAITI 2012-2024

From churches to gangland hideouts, Giles Clarke unveils a curated selection of personal work from Port au Prince, Haiti, photographed in the region between 2012 and 2024. Traveling there to bring attention to the region, Giles Clarke reveals both the beauty and the devastation that coexist.

Our online exhibition coincides with both a screening of Clarke's images from Haiti at Visa Pour L'Image at Perpignan, France 2024 and a feature print exhibition at the 2024 Festival of Ethical Photography in Lodi, Italy.

Giles Clarke is a renowned photojournalist focusing on global conflicts and environmental issues. Recent international accolades, particularly for his work in Yemen and Somalia, include receiving a prestigious Lucie Statue at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2018 and the “WARS Photography Award’ in Italy in 2021. In 2022, Clarke exhibited ‘Waste of Time’ Haiti at the Xposure Photo Festival in Sharjah, UAE and in September 2023, Clarke presented 'Without Water, We Die' from Somalia at the 35th annual Visa pour L'Image festival in Perpignan, France.

In May 2024, Giles Clarke was awarded the prestigious 2024 Master World Report Award.
