Wheaton Mahoney is an award winning photographer celebrated for her conceptual photographic series.
Over the past 30 years, Wheaton has created series based photographs ranging from architecture and portraiture to still life and nature studies.
The scope of her work relies heavily on the usage of color and negative space as seen in her House Portrait series. The passing of time is also a frequent subject throughout her work as seen in her latest portfolio, The Forgotten.
Her fine art photography has earned her several awards from PhotoDistrict News, Range Finder Magazine, Wedding & Portrait Photographers International and CLICK Pro Magazine. Other highlights include receiving her Master’s Accreditation from The Portrait Masters, four Honorable Mentions from The Monochrome Awards, a write-up and interview by Phase One camera systems, Shutterbug Magazine, and a recipient of the Mahlon Cline Award for Excellence.
Wheaton Mahoney studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. She is based in western Massachusetts and Los Angeles, CA. Wheaton’s photographs have become part of private collections nationwide and she has displayed portfolios in many gallery and museum exhibitions.
