Threads Series
Wheaton used to love to sew and when the local fabric store went
out of business she purchased 2000 of their remaining thread spools to add to her already large collection of colorful bobbins.
When her family moved to Florida, she would spend hours watching the sunrise and its colors dance along the river. The spools of thread were an ideal way to display these watery reflections in an impressionistic still-life format.
The varying colors seen in Palm Beach from the Bulgari jewelry to the bright golf attire were also inspirations for this vibrant series.
